The Mandela Effect

The Mandela effect, is one of the most well known and talked about theories across the world. For anyone who doesn’t know what the Mandela effect is, In 2010 a Blogger by the name of Fiona Broome came up with the Term, which refers to very large number of people referring to a false memory. The reason this term was named after Nelson Mandela is due to one thing, A large Number of people remember Nelson Mandela Dying in prison in the 1980’s But in actual fact he was released from prison and died many years later on in life. This is the most well known one and this is the reason for the name.

However their is a lot of examples of the Mandela Effect that a lot of people remember, I will take you through some of them in this post and maybe in a later post talk about a few of the other Mandela effects that their are.

First up it’s the Berenstein Bears….. Or is it?

The Berenstein Bears are what a lot of people remember the Childrens Tv show & Book  to be Called, But It’s not they’re called the berenstain bears. The Popular Book was first published in the 1960’s and then turned into a popular tv show later on. What do you remember the show being called Berensteins or Berenstains?

Sex and the City or Sex In the City?

Sex and the City was a popular tv show all over the world and then released to hit feature length films, However the show name has been spoken about a lot, what one is it called, sex in the city or sex and the city? Well the show is now and apparently has always been called sex and the city but I like many other remember the show being called sex in the city. This one is a slightly more personal one for, due to the fact that I have a perfume of the show and my bottle on the bottom say’s sex in the city. so For me this one is completely true! BUT what do you think?

Mirror Mirror on the wall…..

We’ve all seen some sort of version of snow white and the most famous line from the film is Mirror Mirror on the wall, whose the fairest of them all…….. Nope that’s wrong, it’s Magic Mirror on the wall whose the fairest of them all. What? as I’m writing this I asked someone what the famous line from Snow White and her response was Mirror Mirror on the wall, not magic mirror….. What do you remember it being?

I have given 4 examples of the Mandela effect in this post and I think I will be doing follow up post’s about the Mandela effect because their is so many to cover in just one post’s.

What do you think? Do you think the Mandela effect is real, What Mandela effect’s have you seen?
